An automatic standby generator is a back up electrical system that operates whether you are home or away. Within seconds of an outage, it automatically supplies power directly to your home’s electrical circuit breaker box. After utility power returns, the generator shuts itself off and waits for the next outage. It operates on natural gas or liquid propane gas and sits outside just like a central air conditioning unit.

Generac Generator Maintenance
Generac recommends you have your unit serviced every 6-12 months by an authorized Generac service dealer. Home generator owners need a Generac maintenance kit as it is important to keep up with a regular annual maintenance schedule. Failure to complete regular maintenance can void your warranty.
Oil should be changed after the first 20-30 hours of operation and every 100 hours of run time thereafter.
The spark plug should be changed every year. Valve clearance should be checked either every year or at 300 hours. For every 200 hours, the air filters need to be cleaned or replaced.
Please replace your generator batteries every 36 months even if they are still working. Best case scenario: replace them every 2 years to give you the most assurance that the generator is going to be ready to start and ready to perform when it's needed, especially in a power emergency.

JM was doing work for a neighbor. Saw their fabulous and clean workmanship and asked the crew to evaluate our needs. Replaced our load panel with a larger panel and upgraded our service line with heavy-up. JM Plumbing and Heating are wonderful people to work with. We are very pleased with the results. Nick, Ziad and Dimitri were great to work with. Recommend JM for electrical and HVAC work.

In December last year, we had old boiler and hot water tank removed and replaced with an on-demand water heater/boiler Combo unit by JM plumbing. I thought it was important to wait 6+ months before writing a review.
The job was completed in 1 day, with terrific results. Everyone I dealt with throughout the process were extremely professional and eager to answer any and all questions. As a bonus we have a lot more room in our utility room/area.
I have recommended them several times since they completed our boiler/water heater combo and will continue to do so with confidence.

Nick, the co-owner, came out and gave me a very reasonable estimate for a tankless water heater installation, compared to others. Nick is courteous polite and flexible. It's a family owned business.
His crew, Jose, Dimitri, and their assistant were very professional friendly and polite. They did a very clean install and left me nothing at all to clean up. They walked me through the system after as well.
They have my highest recommendation. Period.

We had a great experience with Nick and his team on the repair and maintenance of our furnace and radiators. I called multiple companies that told me they couldn’t come out for a month+ and Nick came by the next day to take a look at our furnace and they started the work the following day. Our furnace is 26+ years old and it required some new parts and a lot of maintenance. The team was extremely detail oriented and never rushed the job. They ended up encountering some additional issues and worked on the problem until it was complete. They were all extremely professional and nice, and they communicated with us every step of the way. We will definitely be using them for all of our future heating needs.

Love the services we've received from JM Plumbing and Heating. Dimetri has been our service tech twice now and each times he's been expidiéndote and super knowledgeable. We contacted JM out of desperation because the previous company could not figure out what was wrong with our tankless water heater. Nick was amazing. He came to our home that same day and had the entire system working properly. These guys are our new plumbers from now on. Very professional and compassionate. For various reasons having to do with the particular space in our house where our old water heater was located, we were having a really tough time finding a company that could replace our tank water heater with an electric tankless. JM was incredibly responsive right off the bat, listened to our questions and concerns, and did incredible work. We're really happy to have worked with them and appreciate their professionalism and quality work! Will highly recommend them to others in the future.
